THANKS TO THE FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY
A special thanks is due to the Dr. John M. Thomason Library for its support to the Olanta community.  And also we need to thank the group known as the Friends of the Olanta Public Library(FOPL) for their participation and assistance.  Visit their site on Facebook as well as their web site     http://www.olantafriends.com/ .  They are looking for new "Friends" and based on their success in providing programs both for "seniors" and "young" alike,  you would have to appreciate their accomplishments.
BUSINESS PLAN WORKSHOP
The Dr. John M. Thomason Public Library will offer a free workshop, Creating Your Business Plan, on Tuesday May 14, from 7:00 - 8:15 p.m.

For new ventures, completion of the business plan is the all-important first step in traveling the road to success. Brianna Zhang, Program Manager of the Kelley Small Business Institute at Francis Marion University, will provide an overview of the process and explain a sound approach to and effective development of essential plan sections.

Zhang received her MBA from Francis Marion University in 2007 and has worked as program manager for the KSBI since then.

Over the years, Zhang has assisted over 400 start‐up and existing businesses in the northeastern corner of South Carolina. She has also won state and national awards for her entrepreneurship training for adults as well as teenagers.
