Baseball

The Town of Olanta Parks & Recreation Department hosts several youth baseball leagues within the Town of Olanta. Leagues are provided for participants ranging from ages 5 to 14. Leagues are governed by a volunteer board with direction from Florence County Parks and Recreation Department Commission. League participation is dependent upon the participant’s location of residence.

Registration for spring youth baseball begins on the first day of February each year. The registration fee is $40 per participant. Insurance is included in the cost of registration. Youth participate in a pre-season evaluation to determine placement on teams. Season games usually begin in March and last until June, followed by post season tournaments. Teams will play one or two games per week and practice an additional one to two days per week. All participants must play according to their age groups.
