Sewer Rehabilitation

The Town of Olanta will begin a sewer rehabilitation project on 6-28-2021. This project will include the Polymer Lining of Manholes, Sewer Tap Replacements, Pipe Lining, Pipe Replacement, and Pipe Repairs. This project will take several months to complete. This is a very necessary project that is being funded by Rural Infrastructure Authority, the USDA and the Town of Olanta. When this project is complete we are hopeful that it will stop much of the inflow and infiltration issues that have plagued the Town of Olanta for many years. These problems are costly because we are paying the City of Lake City to treat as much or more rainwater than sewer. Please make sure that you DO NOT have gutters, sump pumps or natural drains flowing into the Town of Olanta's Sewer System. It is illegal and very costly to the Town of Olanta. The Lions Club meets the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month at the Olanta Baptist Church in January, February, March, April, May, September, October, November and the 2nd Monday of June, July, and August and December due to Chrismas and Summer.
